Subject: strawberry fields by the Liffey? From: Yank Abroad Date: 27 Sep 99 - 05:59 AM My wife and I were recently traveling about on the Southwest coast of Ireland and in the course of several musical evenings came across several renditions of a song neither of us recognized, but which we both fancied and I would like to learn. The chorus begins: "Where the strawberry fields run down to the Liffey…" and concludes, as nearly as we could make out: "If you've ever loved me Molly, love me now!" I've searched the DT d-base several times, but without success to date. Any information as to title, lyrics and recordings available of this tune would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks in advance. |
