I have always been partial to "Eddietousacatchacamadosaearadosanokasammakammwatchee Brown", which is a folk "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

I have a cassette of Kids songs here in Scotland. I did "All Gods Creatures", "Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff a Bus" (A version of She'll be comin Round the Mountain), "The Marvellous Toy" (By the Way Tom Paxtons got some great kids songs), a few more Scottish ones and a couple I wrote myself. Best of luck with your project.

The starting point for any collection of kids songs has to be Roy Bailey's "Why does it have to be me" . . Then again I detest sacharine kids songs, especially for kids . .

But does anyone have the words to "The Lego Song"?

G.

Tom Paxton's song "A dog Named Fred" has got to be the best song I ever learnt for kids. They always join in sing and the actions. Bev Lawton

And, of course, Waltzing with bears. How about Angus McFergus McTavish Dundee..& Tam Pierce? When my two oldest girls were little, they liked The New York Girls. However, when they got old enough to understand it, it wasn't so great. The youngest favored The Diamond.. go figure.
