I posted a thread the other day called "What ever happened to..." and it' disappeared! Can anyone tell my why and how do I reinstate it please.

Bugsy, you will see, I have "refreshed" that thread for you, by posting to it, it comes back to the top. If you go to the box where it says "refresh threads" and instead of setting it on 1 day, scroll to 3, or 7 or even up to 365 days and then hit the refresh threads button and you will find anything that may not have been posted to enough to bring it back to the top.

I hope this makes sense, If not, let me know and one of us will try to make it a little clearer.

Aw,Bugsy, it just got old and fell off the bottom of the page. If you want to find it, try this blue clicky thing.
What's up when you check into the forum are the threads that peopl have posted to in the last day. If no one adds anything , they move further down the list, and out of sight, unless you do what I did and set the filter for seven days. Then I typed in the word "happened" in the search box and got all the threads on that topic.
You can also leave the search window blank and set the filter for 3 or 7 days, and then you will get all the threads that far back.
