Subject: HELP! Travelling to Gonzales, La. - Tomorrow !! From: Ciaran Date: 30 Jul 99 - 05:40 AM Do any of you Mudcatters out there have any information on Gonzales, Louisiana? I'm interested in live music venues (Blues, Cajun, Irish) from Saturday 31st July until Saturday 7th August. Any information about New Orleans or Baton Rouge would also be helpful. I know there will be scores of places (esp. in the last two) but I'll trust your judgement if you can recommend one or two venues. Cheers! |

Date: 30 Jul 99 - 07:39 AM I did a brief search and all I could discover is that you are going to be a week early for the Gonzales Heritage Festival. In Donaldsonville (just a couple of miles south) there is: Journeé sur la Deuxieme Côte Acadienne (Second Acadian Coast Festival) Downtown. 225/665-1898. Other than that, Baton Rouge seems to be your nearest source for happenings. |
