Subject: Russian-esqu folk song - lyrics anyone? From: Liz Date: 24 Jun 98 - 11:26 AM I have a catchy song which I heard singing around a camp-fire one weekend. It sounds russian-ee (probably isn't) and although I was promised the lyrics, the bloke slunk off without letting us have them! Any help appreciated - here's the chorus - I just need the verses...
"If we drink we will die If we don't drink we will die So you might as well say what the hell And raise your glasses high For whatever your name, you'll be dying just the same So you might as well say what the hell And join us in a drink Hai!" The verses list the sorts of men who the singer could/would drink to. Much quaffing of ale accompanies the 'Hai' and it's such a catching song. Can anyone help?? cheers! Liz |
