Subject: Looking for song sung by Michelle Shocked From: kab2u@virginia.edu Date: 17 Jun 98 - 10:57 AM This is a long shot, but... I saw Michelle Shocked play in Charlottesville, VA several years ago. She has a song called "Anchorage" in which she refers to a song that she sang at a friend's wedding. When I saw her in concert she sang that song & I really liked it. Now I am getting married and I would love to have that song played at my wedding, but of course I can't remember anything else about it! Any ideas??? A million thanks, Kathleen Boykin kab2u@virginia.edu |

Subject: RE: Looking for song sung by Michelle Shocked From: Date: 18 Jun 98 - 01:05 PM Thanks to those who replied -- to clarify, I have a recording of "Anchorage". What I am looking for is any info re: the song she *refers* to in "Anchorage" (that she sang at her friend's wedding). I remember it as sounding like a folk song, but can't remember anything else about it (what it was called, any of the words, etc.). Thanks again! Kathleen |
