In the key of G, it would go something like this:

G
Mama don't allow no banjo pickin' 'round here
G D7
Mama don't allow no banjo pickin' 'round here
     G                 G7
Well I don't care what Mama don't allow,
      C              C7
Gonna pick that banjo anyhow.
G                   D7                    G
Mama don't allow no banjo pickin' 'round here

The 7th chords are optional, but I like them

Who can tell me why my message appeared so many times? I didn't click "SUBMIT" all those times.

Sorry, mir - I still didn't get it quite right. In the second line, the D7 should be over the word "here".

At least I now know why I got multiple submissions - it comes from using the RELOAD button

You're welcome, mir. My last message was an abortive attempt to include my mailto: tag, but I left out a ">" symbol. I'll try to get it right this time. I'm still a little green at this :)

By the way, I assume you realize that you have to view the chords with a non-proportional font to get them positioned right.

Please be patient with me - I'm still learning. Now, once and for all, here's my EMail tag:

Bert C

It's not like I've never written HTML before. I maintain the Bucks County Folk Song Society Web Site. I'm just suffering from severe brain cramps.
