Subject: RE: Preacher and the Bear From: Dale Rose Date: 08 May 98 - 02:24 PM Just above the thread name list is a box that says filter. Put the word preacher in that box, set the age to 90 days, then hit the show threads button. The information you want will come up. You can do this for any song that may have been mentioned in the past year, just by entering key words. You might also want to consider becoming a member (free), then using the forum search, which allows you a lot more options. |

Subject: RE: Preacher and the Bear From: Joe Offer Date: 08 May 98 - 02:29 PM Hi - Here is a shortcut, but if you had entered "preacher bear" (without quotes) in the box at the upper-right corner of this page, you'd have found it. If you do a song title search at one of the online CD stores like CDNOW.COM, you'll find several recordings available, including one by the Big Bopper, and another by Andy Griffith (possibly with Brownie McGhee, but it's unclear whether Brownie sings on that particular cut). I would think the renditions by Jim Kweskin and David Holt might be a bit more "traditional." -Joe Offer- |
