Subject: Req for info From: Jim Taylor Date: 19 Feb 98 - 08:48 AM Hi, gang: I've had this chorus going thru my head for a few days and I can't remember the rest of the song. You've got to sing like you don't need the money You've got to love like you'll never get hurt. You've got to dance like there's nobody watchin', It's got to come from the heart if you want it to work! I know it had some airplay on country stations a few years ago. I believe it's a Guy Clark song. I need somebody's help to identify Title/Author and possible wording corrections. Many thanks Peace JT |

Subject: RE: Req for info From: Wolfgang Hell Date: 19 Feb 98 - 08:57 AM this bit copy&pasted from a quotations site gives you at least authors and title: You have to sing like you don't need the money. You have to love like you will never get hurt. You have to dance like there is no one watching. You have to come from the heart if you want it to work. - From the song Come from the Heart By Susanna Clark & Richard Leigh, performed by Guy Clark on the Old Friends CD Wolfgang |

Subject: RE: Req for info From: Joe Offer Date: 22 Feb 98 - 04:48 AM There's also a nice recording of the song by Kathy Mattea. In my opinion, that woman has a drop-dead-beautiful voice. If you'd like full lyrics, Jim, let me know and I'll transcribe them for you. -Joe Offer- |
