Subject: need lyrics for song about Hartley Poole From: carpetas@io.com Date: 10 Feb 98 - 11:09 PM I used to sing a song about a captain's old pet monkey which got washed ashore at Hartley Poole in England. But I forgot some of the verses. The chorus goes like this" Old folks, young folks, everyone and each Come and see the Frenchie that's washed up on the beach He's got long arms a great long tail, and he's covered all in hair We think he's a spy so we'll hang him in the square Anybody hear of this little "gem?"
