Anyone in the vicinity of Nova Scotia during the first weel of July might want to check out the first annual Stan Rogers Folk Festival at Canso, Nova Scotia. Canso is a little fishing town on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia, just down the road from Fogarty's Cove, Half Island, Lazy Head and a few other places mentioned in some of Stan's songs. From what I hear, Garnet will be there along with his band, and some of the best muscians from the east coast.

I will try to find out more and post any information that comes my way.

I found out a little bit more about this festival, but not a lot. For ticket information phone 1-800-554-STAN.
