Subject: Irish Folk songs for vocal quartet From: Friedhelm Schulte-Noelle Date: 03 Jun 97 - 08:31 AM Dear music lovers and experts on folk music, I am a member of a vocal quartet in Stuttgart, Germany, who perform in non-profit festivals and private ceremonies. We would like to perform some Irish folk tunes that have been arranged for four-voice-chorus by Robert Shaw (or better, the arrangements are written by Alice Parker for this record) for his Chorus. There exists a recording of these arrangements and we would be glad to sing them. Unfortunately I was not able to get these (or similar) arrangements in the music shops in Germany(and a tried a good number of them). I was wondering whether somebody could help us to get in touch with someone who holds the rights of these arrangements and provide the scores for us. We are especially interested in the songs "Johnny I hardly knew ye", "My gentle harp" and "I dont know where I´m going". Others would be welcome, too. I should very much appreciate your help. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely Friedhelm Schulte-Noelle |

The home page is: "www.giamusic.com/work-http/html/GIAhome.html" Yours, Peter |
