Will the train on the lower
track actually clear the bottom
of the upper track? Will the
train on the upper track be able
to pull the hill without strain?
Will we have to tear it all up
and start over while weeping and
gnashing some of our false
teeth?

Hey! All those calculations and
careful measurements paid off.
It works! And now, Phyl
(grandfolkies' chief design
engineer and scenery
construction specialist) can
start building a mountain
complete with tunnels in this
corner.

The panel above the layout
contains the electrical circuit
breaker and fuses for our house.
Servicing can be done best by a
tall electrician with extra long
arms.

The whole project's progress is best described as "spasmodic
evolution." At times, no work is done for days, weeks or even
months. At other times --- a frenzy of activity. The
neverending project is always quietly and patiently waiting for
someone to add something to it.
