THE ADDAMS FAMILY SONG (but not the real one)

From: Debbie G. Hi, I am trying to teach my son the Adam's Family song, but
not the real one. I am looking for the one that goes:

The Adams Family started
When Uncle Fester farted
And now they're all retarded
The Adams Family

Don't know if you've heard it but I just thought I'd ask!

A. I never cease to be amazed at what's on the "Web" ----here's the lyric,
plus a site devoted(!) to fart rhymes, jokes, etc! Enjoy!
Phyl

V1 The Addams family started
When Uncle Fester farted;
Their children are retarded,
The Addams family!

V2 When the Addams family started,
Uncle Fester farted,
He farted thru the keyhole
And paralysed the cat
The cat got all excited
And shouted "MAN UNITED!"
And Man United shouted "The Addams Family!"

From: Debbie G.: Hey, thanks a bunch!!!

AFTER THE BALL

From Phyllis W Can you give me an example of some of the songs? I'm looking
for the music and lyrics to some songs my Mom used to sing to us when we
were little. They were silly ditties such

as "After the Ball", etc.

Thanks, Phyllis W

After the Ball (Dismantled Bride)

After the ball was over

Jenny took out her glass eye.

Stood her false leg in the corner,

Corked up her bottle of dye.

 Put her false teeth in the tumbler;

Hung her false hair on the wall.

All the rest went to the bye-bye,

After the ball.

AGALINA HAGALINA (aka HAGGALEE THE MAGGALEE) from: Maria H., version 1

I know the words to the requested song entitled "Haggalee the Maggalee". I
remember the title being "Agalina Hagalina" with the same next phrase that
Ellen H. goes on to say, so it has to be the same song:

Agalina Hagalina Oka Poka Woka Doka Okka Dokka Wokka was her name

She had seven hairs on the top of her head
Three were alive and four were dead

Agalina Hagalina Oka Poka Woka Doka Okka Dokka Wokka was her name

She had two eyes in the middle of her head
One was green and the other was red

Agalina Hagalina Oka Poka Woka Doka Okka Dokka Wokka was her name

She had two teeth in the middle of her mouth
One pointed north and the other pointed south

Agalina Hagalina Oka Poka Woka Doka Okka Dokka Wokka was her name

She had two feet like a bathroom mat
Nobody knew how they got like that

Agalina Hagalina Oka Poka Woka Doka Okka Dokka Wokka was her name

And then a truck hit Agalina
And the driver had to buy a new machine!

Agalina Hagalina Oka Poka Woka Doka Okka Dokka Wokka was her name

I found your web site when I was looking for Eddie K. Brown, which I learned
around 30 years ago and have taught my girls those songs which they
thoroughly enjoy.

AGALINA HAGALINA (see HAGGALEE THE MAGGALEE), version 2

AMERICA (a round)

Q from Wendy McC. The song is America...it's song as a round. I learned it
as a girl scout. I have the lyrics somewhere. I am stumped on the 2nd line.

America America
?? shall we tell you have we feel???
You have given us your riches
We love you still

A. from Carol O.

The song America, which was asked about by Wendy McC I learned NOT as
America but as a Christian song as follows:

Jesus, Jesus,
Can I tell you how I feel?
You have given me your riches,
I love you so.

This MAY have been an adaptation of the America version, so I HOPE this
helps. Carol O.

ANGRY WORDS -an old Sunday School song
From: Jami B: I'm trying to find the words to an old Sunday school song.
Maybe you can help.

"angry words, oh let them never from the tongue, unbridled slip..."

Thanks! Jami B

Words & Music: Horatio R. Palmer, 1867

Angry words! O let them never,

From the tongue unbridled slip,

May the heart’s best impulse ever,

Check them ere they soil the lip.

Refrain:Love one another thus saith the Savior,

Children obey the Father’s blest command,

Love each other, love each other,

’Tis the Father’s blest command.

Love is much too pure and holy,

Friendship is too sacred far,

For a moment’s reckless folly,

Thus to desolate and mar. Refrain

Angry words are lightly spoken,

Bitterest thoughts are rashly stirred,

Brightest links of life are broken,

By a single angry word. Refrain
