Bernie McDonald, host of the "Ireland in America" radio show on KDHX St.
Louis, is a self-taught, finger-style guitarist, composer and singer.
Barbara McDonald has been playing flute since she was seven years old, and
has performed with Bernie since the early 80's. Together they perform
traditional dance tunes and songs, and are particularly well known for their
lovely styling of the tunes of the 17th century blind Irish harper, Turlough
Carolan.
The *St. Louis River Front Times* named Bernie and Barbara the best duet in
St Louis for 2005.
