I'm Looking Over My Dead Dog Rover
(Hank, Hank & Stu)

Dave:  Oh, it's a beautiful day outside! I think I'm going to start mowing the lawn. [Lawnmower starts.]

Hank:  Hey, how're you doing, Dave?

Dave:  OK, Hank, what's going on?

Hank:  I'm looking for my dog Rover. Darn dog got out and I can't find him anywhere: you haven't seen him, have you?

Dave:  No, but if I do, I'll let you know.

Hank:  OK, sure appreciate it. Will see you later, Dave.

Dave:   See you later, Hank... Well, there's that Rover now. [Rover barks.] Hey, get out of here! You can't come on here while I'm mowing the lawn! Get out of here! [Dog barks again.] Rover, get out of here! [Dog continues to bark and is suddenly replaced by shrieking whistles.]

I'm looking over my dead dog Rover
Who I hit with a power mower:
One leg is missing, the other is gone,
A third leg is scattered all over the lawn.
No need explaining, the one leg remaining
Is spinning on the carport floor,
I'm looking over my dead dog Rover
Who I overlooked before.

[Replay of dog being mown down.]

I'm looking over my minced dog Rover
Who I hit with a power mower:
My dog's not eating, he no longer barks,
He hit the propeller and turned into sparks.
No need explaining, there's no dog remaining
He's part of the grass, you see,
I'm looking over my dead dog Rover
Who I sent to eternity.

[Shrieking whistles.]
