Old Henry's Hoss

Henry Jones was the fastest gunslinger
The meanest man that ever packed a gun
In the twenty-seven gunfights he had been in
They say old Henry Jones had never run

Henry rode into town Friday morning
To feed his hoss and wet his whistle down
In the Goldhead Saloon drinking red eye
Was U. S. Marshall Johnny William Brown

Marshall Johnny Brown, he shot old Henry down
Before he even had a chance to draw
When the smoke cleared away, Henry lay there
Shot in the back by the law
