Back down in the jungle up under the stick
things been quiet for a pretty little bit.
One morning bright and soon,
that motherfucker come out a his room.
He wearin' a Buroo watch and a zootsuit,
couldn't [anyjbody tell that bitch he wasn't cute.

He got Mr. Lion, said, "Woooo, Mr. Lion,"
Said, "Somethin' come down here,"
say, "way he talk about your aunt, niece,
[if he] see your grandma he say he ask her for a piece."

The Lion got so mad he jump up trimmin' the trees,
chopped baby giraffes, monkeys down on their knees.
He went on down the jungle way a jumpin' and pawin',

poppin' his tail worse 'n' a forty-four.
He saw Mr. Elephant layiri side a the tree
[?] say, "Get up big rusty motherfucker, [it's] you or me."

Elephant looked out a the corner of his eye,
say, "Go get somebody your size."
Like a streak of lightnin' and a bolt of heat,
that lion was on that motherfucker with all four feet.

When that Lion backed and made a pass,
the Elephant slapped him, knocked him dead on his ass.
He drew back in the jungle, more dead than alive,
that motherfucker Monkey starts some of his signifyin'.

"Ooo, Mr. Lion, you talk about you were fast,
Look a there, you ain't got no hair to cover your ass."
He drew back in the jungle more dead than alive,

that's when that Monkey jumped up and started his signifyin'.
Said, "Look here," say, "every time me and my wife go to get a little bit,
you come with that 'owe you' shit."

Say, "Anyhow, get out from under my tree
before I take a notion to pee."
He jumped from limb to limb and all the way around,
his foot it slipped and his black ass hit the ground.

And that Lion covered him.
He said, "Look here, Mr. Lion, hold it!" say,
"Let's fight fair.
You stand over here and I stand over there."
That Lion backed up prepared to fight,
That motherfucker swung plumb out of sight.
