The City Waits CD Pills to Purge Melancholy is loved by a few people who have emailed me but I find the quality of the recording to be artificially instrumental and the voices the singers is quite soft and you often can not clearly hear the words of the songs.

I prefer the Ed McCurdy When Dalliance Was in Flower series from the 1950s.  This is much more simply done with the distinctive McCurdy vocal flair.
