Popular music would be sold on single sheets of paper commemorating the events of the day or just give the words of a few popular tunes.  Some of these broadsides where strictly toasts.  Here is a broadside from the 4th of July 1935.  It exemplifies the tradition of drinking 13 toasts on the fourth of July in honor of the 13 original colonies.
