The cousin of my great grandmother her hearing is really bad...when all the families gather...She often asked: "Hørte feg noen si skål?" ["Did I hear anyone say cheers?"] Now in our family the toast is "Did I hear anyone say cheers?" and everyone raises our glass. That is our toast.
