A note on the order of the items listed in the COMPENDIUM:
1. Books are for the most part listed alphabetically by
Author. Where there is no author (i.e. "anonymous") then the
Title of the book is used as the author for alphabetization.
2. Where the author's last name is in a compound form (e.g.
De Sade, Lo Duca, Von Bayros, Van Heller, etc) the
alphabetization is done on the first letter of the last word in
the name.
3. Where bibliographic information is not stated in the book,
but is known to this compiler, this information is given in
brackets ( ). The real names of pseudononymous authors are
treated in this manner.
4. To help clarify the confusion this all causes, at the end
of the COMPENDIUM there is a listing of all the items
alphabetically by Title for quick cross reference.
