PREFACE
The Fleet Air Arm Song Book
is the result of a demand for a permanent
record of the songs which have contributed so much to the esprit de
corps of the Royal Naval Air Service and the Fleet Air Arm. As a
result they are not all strictly parochial.
It has proved an impossible task to establish the correct authors and
tunes for many of the contributions and so, in the interests of
uniformity only credits and notes have been given when they are of
particular interest.
The production of a book of this type is totally reliant upon
the generosity of those who have offered their old records and song
books for copying and the Fleet Air Arm Officers Association is
particularly indebted to those who have worked so hard to compile
this work, and also to Tug Wilson for his superb cartoons.
