is this 1870s, Collier's Reprint of a 1661, "An Antidote
Against Melancholy: made up in pills", London: Hardcover,
leather in good condition. Attractive blue with grain texture
and brown binding with gilted edges and lettering. Slight wear
on edges. A few areas with foxing, mostly on inside cover
pages. This is a reprint of a 1661 edition with a two-page
scholarly introduction by "J.P.C."(John Payne Collier, the
literary antiquarian whose reputation was destroyed in a
Shakespeare forgery controversy) and an introduction poem by
N.D. A collection of bawdy songs celebrating drink and tavern
life. Measures 6 1/2" x 8 1/4. Winning bidder pays actual
