ROYALE 45 RPM EP's (Record Corp. of America)

Extended Play 45's were first introduced by RCA Victor in 1952 and the Record Corporation of America followed quickly, placing its first 150 EP's in stores in time for the holiday rush that same year. The next 100 issues were released in the Spring of 1953. The numerical list is complete from EP 101-319 with partial listings up to EP372 plus a 700 Christmas series and a scattering of pop issues. The discography still lacks track titles and artist credits for many releases-your input is needed. As with any Oberstein product there are departures from normal packaging. In some cases Varsity pressings are substituted for Royales though no Varsity EP sleeves have yet been reported. Later copies are pressed in translucent red vinyl and usually have larger blue labels . Updated 10/6/2001.
