Frankie 'Half Pint' JAXON
Born Motgomery AL, Feb. 3, 1895 the 5 ft. 2" entertainer was active in Chicago with his Quarts of Joy and occasionally appeared as a female impersonator. He went to work for the federal government during WW II and continued until retirement.
--As THE PAINLESS DOC (duet with Georgia Tom Dorsey, who does the male voice. This recording was not made at the Brunswick studios, Chicago 7/22/29 as widely reported. It is probably from the early 1930's but could have been recorded as late as 1936.

This matrix is thought not to have been assigned a number at the time it was recorded, L359 being applied at Associated Cinema Studios, Hollywood, in late 1936. This side has been erroneously credited to Butterbeans & Susie.

John RYAN releases on his Varsity label he obliterated the US master numbers and issued these with blue & gold labels. Numbers 301 and 302 are the only known releases.
