The outside covers show wear with a rip out of the back cover by the binding. All pages accounted for in very good readable condition (one page had a bend). On the inside front cover is written "Don't steal this book for if you do - you will feel the toe of my old shoe". The cover page has a name and City, the first page has another poem and the same name and City written on it. The last page has a name and "Jimtown School, Ohio" written on it.
Plenty of illustrations and some color maps.
